Another summer on the Pier! Come out to Glensheen Wednesday nights starting in July for Concerts on the Pier.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: GLENSHEEN'S FREE WEDNESDAY NIGHT LINEUP FOR SUMMER 2023
Glensheen is excited to officially announce our 2023 Free Wednesday Night Event lineup for both Beer Garden and Concerts on the Pier at the historic estate. Free Wednesday Nights are a way that Glensheen gives back by welcoming the community to enjoy the grounds through a series of events hosted on the property each year. Summer events are the best way to experience Glensheen’s gardens in full bloom and enjoy everything the grounds have to offer.
Beer Garden will take place throughout four Wednesday nights in June this year. Come enjoy a craft beverage or non-alcoholic drink along the shores of Lake Superior! The event is free and open to the public from 5 to 8 pm, with the Brew Talk from each week’s featured brewer starting at 6:30 pm.
2023 Beer Garden Lineup:
June 7: Bent Paddle
June 14: Hoops Brewing
June 21: Ursa Minor
June 28: Castle Danger
Concerts on the Pier, one of Glensheen’s most popular events of the summer, also returns this year. We look forward to hosting nine bands this year in July and August, with our lineup kicking off on July 5 with music from Duluth band The Slamming Doors. This year’s lineup features many talented local favorites, as well as some exciting bands traveling from other areas of Minnesota, such as Jeremy Messersmith and Erik Koskinen. The event is free and open to the public from 5 to 8 pm. Gates open at 5 pm, however, for those interested, early access can be obtained by purchasing grounds admission or a tour. New this year, Concerts on the Pier will feature an additional half-hour of music, with each concert running from 6:30 to 8 pm.
At Concerts, guests can connect with neighbors and friends, play lawn games, grab some grub from a local food truck, enjoy a refreshing drink, eat local-favorite Love Creamery ice cream, or take a seat by a lakeside campfire. Guests are encouraged to paddle or boat in to view the concert from the water or are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show from the shore. Please be aware that Glensheen does not permit watercraft (including kayaks) to be launched from the property. Be sure to get here early to claim your spot!
