From small beginnings operating as a duo out of their farmhouse in 1975, Greg and Nancy Thrasher took a "whatever it takes" approach to keeping customers happy. Helping homeowners protect their largest investment meant using quality products, installing them properly, and standing behind the work. For years, we provided basement waterproofing services in the Omaha area, and grew to become one of t

he largest basement and foundation repair, concrete lifting & leveling and gutter contractors in the Midwest. For the last 45 years in the basement and foundation repair industry, we've focused on the value of doing whatever it takes to get the job done and "wow" our customers every step of the way. We know if you're calling us, you have a challenge in front of you. So we've taken measures to ensure we're providing the premium-level care and expert-level services you need to meet the challenge. No matter the job - we aren't going to feel good about the hard work we've done until you're happy. So we'll do it right or make it right. That's the Thrasher promise.

Employee Spotlight: Bob Dunn

Since joining Thrasher in February 2021, Bob Dunn has been focused on helping homeowners feel informed, confident, and prepared to protect their homes for the future.

For Bob, one of the most rewarding parts of his role is taking the time to educate homeowners about the systems installed in their homes and how those systems can help protect against future issues. Home repairs can feel overwhelming, and Bob takes pride in helping homeowners better understand the solutions they have in place.

When it comes to redefining the industry, Bob believes it starts with something simple but important: honesty and follow-through.

“To me, it means being honest with our homeowners and living up to the expectations that we give them,” Bob says.

That commitment is especially meaningful because Bob never takes for granted the trust homeowners place in Thrasher.

“I’m thankful that our homeowners choose to have us come into their homes and allow us to help protect their biggest investment, their home.”

Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, attending live concerts, and cheering on local sports teams.

We’re grateful for the care and honesty Bob brings to homeowners every day and for the role he plays in helping families feel confident about the future of their homes.

Community Day Spotlight: Denver 🩸❤️

On July 20, more than 680 Thrasher employees came together across 9 cities for our annual Community Day, completing 17 projects to give back to the communities we call home.

Today, we're spotlighting our Denver team!

For Community Day, our Denver location partnered with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive at our office. We invited employees, customers, and members of the community to come together for a day focused on giving back.

Our goal was to collect donations from 60 individuals.

By the end of the day, 86 people had donated blood, exceeding our goal and making an incredible impact. These donations have the potential to help up to 84 NICU babies. ❤️

We're so proud of everyone who rolled up their sleeves, literally, and took the time to help others in our community.

This is just one of the 17 projects our teams took on during Community Day. Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight the incredible impact happening across all 9 Thrasher locations. 💙

Water in your basement can come from a number of places, which is why protecting your home often takes more than just one solution.

For this project, our team installed a complete interior basement waterproofing system designed to collect, manage, and redirect water before it can become a bigger problem.

Here's what went into it:

💧 CleanSpace was installed along the basement walls to help create a clean, durable barrier and direct moisture down into the waterproofing system.

💧 A drainage system was installed below the basement floor to collect water entering the foundation and channel it toward the sump pump.

💧 A sump pump system was installed to collect that water and pump it safely away from the home.

From the before and during stages to the finished basement, these photos show how the entire system works together.

Every basement — and every water problem — is different. That's why finding the source of the problem is an important first step toward finding the right waterproofing solution.

Community Day Spotlight: Springfield 🛏️💙

On July 20, more than 680 Thrasher employees came together across 9 cities for our annual Community Day, completing 17 projects to give back to the communities we call home.

Today, we're spotlighting our Springfield team!

The team partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization dedicated to making sure no child sleeps without a bed. Their goal for the day was to build 15–20 bunk beds for children in need.

But our Springfield team had other plans. 💪

By the end of the day, they had built 40 beds— twice what they originally set out to accomplish!

The Springfield chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace distributes approximately 50 beds every month, meaning our team was able to make a meaningful impact toward helping local children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

We're so proud of our Springfield team for rolling up their sleeves, working together, and making Community Day count. 💙

This is just one of the 17 projects our teams took on during Community Day. Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight the incredible impact happening across all 9 Thrasher locations!

Saint Peter and Paul is building a foundation students can count on. 💙
As August’s Cash for Schools winner, they’re using their $2,500 grant to launch The Rock Program, a school-based resource room providing essential school supplies, hygiene products, and basic clothing to students who need them.

The Rock Program is designed to remove everyday barriers that can make it harder for students to focus on school. With the grant, students will have confidential access to the supplies they need to come to class prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

By supporting students’ basic needs, The Rock Program is helping create a school community where every student has the opportunity to focus on learning, growth, and their future. 🧡

Teachers, don’t miss out! We’re partnering with KETV to give away $2,500 grants each month to support your schools. Apply here: https://ow.ly/T9JY50UmG6T

Community Day Spotlight: Kansas City

When the heat hit 117°, the Kansas City team didn't pack it in.

As part of Community Day, our KC team set out to restore a mural featuring flags representing countries from around the world, clean up the park, and repair damaged sidewalks.

The original goal? Paint two flags.

What did they actually accomplish? All 105 flags.

Despite the extreme heat, our team stayed until the job was done, helping make this Kansas City gathering place safer, cleaner, and more welcoming for the community.

A settled sidewalk doesn't just take away from your home's appearance, it can also become a tripping hazard for your family and guests.

With our concrete lifting and leveling solution, this walkway was restored without the cost and hassle of replacement. We lifted the sunken concrete back into place, sealed the joints to help prevent future water intrusion, and left the homeowner with a safer, smoother path to their front door.

Small repairs like this can make a big difference in your home's curb appeal, safety, and longevity.

If you've noticed uneven sidewalks, sinking walkways, or cracked concrete around your home, now is a great time to address it before the damage gets worse.

Employee Spotlight: Robert Burghardt

Since joining Thrasher in July 2016, Robert Burghardt has served homeowners in more than one role, always with the same goal of helping people feel confident that their home is in good hands.

Robert began his journey as a Foundation Repair Team Lead, where he found purpose in helping families who felt like their homes were beyond repair. Today, as a Service Technician, he continues that commitment by helping homeowners maintain the systems Thrasher has installed and the peace of mind that comes with them.

"I enjoy helping Thrasher families maintain the systems they have in place, as well as the trust they put in our products and our company," Robert says.

For Robert, redefining the industry means creating an experience homeowners remember long after the work is complete.

"It means doing a job so remarkably well that Thrasher becomes the gold standard for every other contractor a customer works with. Every interaction is an opportunity to exceed expectations, build confidence, and earn trust."

One of the things Robert appreciates most about Thrasher is that, even as the company continues to grow, its values have stayed the same.

"I love working for Thrasher because, regardless of how much we grow, our core values remain the same. Even with that growth, Thrasher still feels like a family."

Outside of work, Robert enjoys fishing, powerlifting, and spending time with his family.

We're grateful for Robert's dedication to our homeowners and the pride he takes in building lasting trust. His commitment to doing the job right continues to make a difference for the families we serve every day.

One week ago, more than 680 Thrasher team members stepped away from their day to day work and into our communities to make a difference.

Across 9 cities, our team completed 17 service projects, partnering with incredible local organizations to repair, build, clean, organize, donate, and serve. Together, we:

❤️ Built beds for children.
🩸 Exceeded the American Red Cross goal for blood donations.
🏡 Repaired homes and community spaces.
🌳 Cleaned parks and trails.
🥫 Packed food for families in need.
🐴 Supported therapy farms, foster care organizations, animal rescues, and so much more.

Community Day isn't just something we do, it's part of who we are. We believe stronger communities start with people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help.

To every nonprofit that welcomed us, every employee who volunteered, and every person who helped make this day possible, thank you for allowing us to serve alongside you.

Here's to another year of making an impact, together. 💙
