Ryan Leckbee and his wife, Yvonne, decided to open their own company in 2018, after several years of resolving issues and building a customer base for other companies. “We knew we had the ability to launch our own dream,” Ryan said.
Ryan has been repairing mechanical devices for as long as he can remember, recognizing problems other people failed to see and could correctly make the repair. “Have you ever though about tearing apart a steering column and rebuilding it?” he asked. “The thought of a difficult situation does not scare me, but challenges me to think beyond the ordinary.”
Yvonne has a Bachelor’s degree in business management administration, along with years of managerial, customer service, and accounting experience. “She was working full time to support the home and pay the bills when I told her she had to quit,” Ryan said. “It was one of the scariest leaps we would make, but it wasn’t short of having a plan. In the beginning of our relationship we had nothing to our names so taking a risk that might give way to a great reward and challenge was worth it to us.”
Rhino Air Conditioning and Heating aims to provide premium customer service along with expert diagnostics and repairs. “We do everything we can to work within your budget and provide you accessible options to finance your purchase,” Ryan said. “Our values are backed with a strong integrity and honesty that aim to earn your respect and be continuously welcomed back into your home.”
The most important part of the job is building strong relationships with clients. “What we enjoy most about this job are the relieved and overjoyed responses we receive when it has been a long hot day and we were able to quickly diagnose and resolve the issue,” Ryan said. “We are always thrilled when customers tell us their home is cooling better than it ever has before or that we resolved an issue other companies just excused and ignored.”
Yvonne served in the Army reserves, so Rhino Air Conditioning and Heating makes sure the veterans are taken care of. “All too often, those who served are left without many resources,” Ryan said. “If you are a veteran, first responder, educator, nurse, or otherwise providing services to the community, please ask us for a discount. We believe in supporting those who would otherwise give back to the community as your service is vital to society.” As a business, they participate in community veteran’s day events, as well as local animal rescue shelters and other charities.
Outside of work, Ryan and Yvonne have two cats, Bud and Kobe, and three rescued dogs, Pepper, Jack, and Alby. “In our down time, we spend time with family and friends, sometimes incorporating their skills into the managing of our home.” Ryan said. “Without their help, we wouldn’t have made it to where we are today. From shopping to organizing and cleaning, we are lucky to be able to call on those around us for help when it is needed.”
As a company, Rhino Air Conditioning and Heating can repair and service any make or model of business or residential AC system from minisplits, bards, or rooftop units, to the unit in your backyard or attic. “We work with high quality brands such as Trane, Bosch, Rheem/Ruud, LG, and Mitsubishi.” Ryan said. “We offer free estimates on any new HVAC system and free second opinions.”
