A mural shaped by the community it represents.
The Elk Hills Mural was developed through a collaboration between California Resources Corporation, Carbon TerraVault, Brookfield, Arts Council of Kern, and artist Jorge Guillen. Over the past six months, the team aligned on a shared vision that reflects both the legacy of Elk Hills and the values that continue to guide CRC’s work.
Safe production is our standard, alongside a commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible operations.
Beyond the mural itself, the project created opportunities for connection, with workshops in Buttonwillow and Taft engaging more than 150 local students and families in the process and helping connect the region’s history with the people and communities shaping its future.
