Custom, custom, custom.
*
Please enjoy this custom made Scandinavian style bannister wood-worked by our very talented team member, Ross. The design was dreamed up by our Scandinavian-inspired and well-traveled clients and Ashley Bongo Design | Residential + Commercial Interior Design It was then brought to life, first in our wood-working shop, then installed on site.
*
The blue balusters also boast a Scandinavian inspired design, we have Cam to thank for that beautiful craftsmanship - creating templates and cutting every piece by hand.
*
I love this project because it’s another example of a home that’s completely unique with beautiful craftsmanship, built to last. A combination of clients with a vision, uber talented designers and a Windward team obsessed with details and getting it just right.

Gunite pool installation 🌊
*
We love a gunite pool, particularly in Newburyport with trickier plot lines because it allows some freedom of design that you may not get with a fiberglass option. You can add ledges, integrated spa areas, or a swim up bar if that is your vibe 🍹⛱️ Lots of options!

Sigh… miss summer already.

Progress makes progress 😅
*
So much beautiful marble going into this house!
*
The marble going into the kitchen, pantry, great room fireplace and great room bar is an Arabescato Corchia Marble with a honed finish.
*
(If you like a softer, smooth, more matte finish that absorbs light instead of reflecting it like a mirror, honed is for you.)
*
Arabescato Corchia marble comes from the Apuan Alps in northern Tuscany, Italy. 🤌
*
The island has a double thick ogee over eased edge profile. Making it 2-1/2” thick, giving it that super solid look and feel. All the stone is from Ripano Stoneworks
*
So gorgeous! More to come as it gets uncovered 💃

Custom Mahogany ceiling going in!
*
Beautiful 5-1/2” tongue and groove mahogany ceiling - painstakingly installed with compound miter cuts at all joints on the underside of this faux hip roof.
*
Whew! Quite a mouthful because it’s a ton of custom work, focus on details, and time invested. This is the craftsmanship you see in older homes and say, ah - why don’t they make homes like this anymore? We are fortunate to say that we do 🥰 thanks to our talented team.
