This past week we were privileged enough to be able to remove two 54 year old Rheem gas furnaces from Spencer’s oldest auto parts store (Anderson Auto) & replace them with two more seemingly bulletproof Rheem mid-efficiency units that will do their best to keep with tradition.

This message goes out to not only Levy Htg & Clg customers but all that read this.
We are about to see an extreme weather event. Please make sure all air filters are clean or replaced & that all supply registers/return grills are unobstructed & open. Replace batteries in your thermostat, if present, if you have not done so in the last year.
Be safe & use common sense when you are trying to stay warm. Never use extension cords with electric auxiliary plug-in style heaters. Be very cautious if using any type of kerosene auxiliary heaters as they are prone to giving off dangerous fumes & they like to steal the oxygen you breath. Ventilation with a supply of fresh air may be essential. Most portable propane heaters are not designed to be used in your home. Be aware, stay alive.

This was a little project we performed for a lady down in Worthington back in May. Because of future maintenance reasons, improper previous installation, & the necessary space needed for a proper installation, we relocated the indoor unit upstairs instead of the crawlspace. Homeowner provided the closet & we did all the demo. The installation included a new heat pump system, all new ductwork overhead, line-set & electrical. Plus removal of all the old materials. Very happy with final product!

If you have a Supco SCM60 or SCM150 or Sycom Model SYC‑120/240-T2 surge protector on your HVAC system, please call us to remedy your potential issues. This part is an aftermarket part that could’ve been installed by the HVAC contractor during or after the original installation. These surge protectors are typically either hung below the outdoor disconnect or within the outdoor unit itself.
We will inspect/remove if needed or requested & will also be checking your ground system relating to your HVAC system as this can cause the issue above.
If your system was installed by Levy Heating & Cooling, we did not install one of the surge protectors to your system. If you’ve had anyone else work on your system, the possibility may exist.
Please call us to get on our schedule. We can also perform a routine clean & tune simultaneously at probably no extra charge.

Please do NOT purchase these advertising gimmicks! They claim to catch so much more dirt than a standard filter. Sure they do! As thick as they are, nothing penetrates the material. NOT EVEN AIR!
When going after replacement air filters……..purchase 8 Merv or less. The above 12 Merv will literally kill your HVAC system & push your utility bills over the top.
