With all the Forecast pointing to a Winter Storm.
Please keep in mind to check your Heat Pumps and switch your Systems to Aux or Emergency Heat, if heavy snow or Sleet is forecasted. The Heat Pump can not Defrost sleet or snow off the top of the unit, if you have an open top Heat Pump.
Drain Lines will Freeze and if you have a High Efficient Furnace, Humidifier or any other condensate Equipment on a common drain, check the Drain Lines before you call for Service, it will save you a Service Call.
Please Do Not pour hot water on your Heat Pumps or hammer off ice from the Units, that will cause damage a possible coil fracture.
To be prepared, check your Propane Tanks for quantities, we have had a lot of calls lately for No Heat, only to find an empty tank. Local Propane Companies are having difficult times and we have seen many Auto Fill Tanks Empty.
Please be safe, stay off the Roads, if possible.
