At Westhaven Lot 1, the primary bedroom gets much of its character from the architecture itself. The full-height wall treatment behind the bed creates a strong focal point, while the tall windows bring in natural light and help keep the room feeling open.

The finishes are restrained enough to let those details stand out, which gives the space a calm, finished feel without asking every surface to compete for attention.

When family stays for more than a weekend, having a little separation can make a meaningful difference.

The Newcomer was designed with a full guest suite on the main level, giving overnight and long-term guests a space that feels comfortable and private while still keeping them connected to the rest of the home.

For some families, a space like this may be for visiting parents. For others, it could make room for adult children, extended family, or guests who come often enough that a traditional spare bedroom simply isn't quite enough.

The goal is not to make guests feel tucked away. It is to give them a space of their own that still feels connected to the life of the home.

One of our favorite parts of the process is getting to know our clients and learning what they love to do when they’re home.

For the owners of the Belle Forme, that included woodworking. We planned a separate three-bay building with a dedicated shop for their projects. It was a joy to bring the owners’ handiwork into the finished home through details like the custom sliding door that conceals the pantry pass-through.

Outside, the six-hole miniature golf course and bocce court give family and friends another way to enjoy time together. Our clients’ personal interests help guide the design of the whole property, and those details are part of what makes each finished home feel so personal.

What would be a must-have in a home designed for your family? Let us know in the comments.

Lot 24 at McIntosh Pointe offers a beautiful setting for a custom home in Camas, with a cul-de-sac location and views toward the Columbia River and Mt. Hood.

This proposed 4,431-square-foot Transitional design gives us one way to imagine what could take shape here. The main living spaces come together around an open great room filled with natural light, with the primary suite and dedicated office on the main level and two additional bedroom suites upstairs.

It’s one possibility for Lot 24, with plenty of room for the design to evolve around the people who will call it home.

Where you build matters just as much as what you build.

We offer opportunities to create a true custom home in some of Southwest Washington’s most desirable communities. The right setting can shape so much of the experience, from the way the home sits on the property to how the views, outdoor spaces, and overall design come together.

Mountain Estates and McIntosh Pointe each offer a strong place to begin, while still leaving room for the home to feel completely your own.

People rarely stay in one place when they come over.

Someone ends up at the island. A few people drift outside. Dinner goes longer than expected, and the conversation keeps moving with it.

The Elysium was designed to make that feel natural, with the kitchen, great room, outdoor living area, and pool all connected in a way that gives people room to gather without everyone needing to be in the same space.

It’s one of those things that can be easy to overlook on paper, but makes a big difference once the house is full.

A first look at a very different custom home taking shape.

This 4,705 sq ft, single-level Modern Tudor is all about texture and how each exterior element works together. There’s a lot happening by design, but every material has a place, and together they create a finish that feels layered, intentional, and cohesive.

Listen as John walks through more of that vision, along with a look at the outdoor living space that still has a few surprises ahead.

Stay tuned for more as this home continues to take shape, and see what’s possible when every detail is considered from the beginning through the link in our bio.

Part of the fun of choosing finishes for a custom home is finding a place for something a little unexpected.

In the Sylvan, that includes a powder room wrapped in bird-patterned wallpaper. The other bathrooms take a quieter approach, with tile color and pattern giving each its own character while warm wood and metal finishes keep the spaces connected.

Sometimes the pattern you love isn't something you want throughout the whole house. Giving it a place in a smaller room lets you enjoy it without setting the direction for every other space. That's part of the freedom in choosing finishes for a custom home.

Which of these bathrooms would you choose for your home?

Another update from this custom home taking shape in Camas.

We are excited to take a closer look at the indoor-outdoor pool and the three 20-foot pocketing doors that connect it to the rest of the home. The doors can open completely, creating an easy transition into the surrounding living spaces.

It’s a thoughtful way to make the pool feel like part of the home year-round, not just a seasonal feature.

Stay tuned as the interior finishes come together, and we continue sharing this home as it takes shape.

The Camtana was created for clients who wanted to bring a little of Montana with them to Camas. Warm wood, stone, and natural finishes gave the home its character, but the story behind the build is what makes this one especially memorable.

Much of the process happened from a distance during the pandemic. When Buck and Sherry finally saw the home in person, it was exactly as they had been picturing all along.

Listen to the full story at the link below and hear what made the Camtana such a memorable project for everyone involved.
