Main FADEC Components
The FADEC system consists of three main parts:
The Electronic Engine Control Unit (EEC): This part is the brain of the system that receives data from sensors, processes it, and sends the necessary commands to the actuators.
Sensors: These sensors collect information such as air temperature, pressure, engine speed (RPM), fuel level, and environmental conditions.
Actuators: These components execute the EEC commands; such as adjusting fuel flow, changing the blade angle in turbofan engines, or controlling combustion systems.
In addition, the FADEC is usually designed with an independent power supply and redundant systems to maintain safe engine operation in the event of a problem.
