A quick progress update on our current linear pool build. Decking installation is officially underway, featuring Glacier Afyon Ice.

Rebound is the excess material that bounces off the steel structure during application because it fails to adhere. Leaving this material inside the structure compromises strength and leads to structural weaknesses in the shell.
Proper construction practice requires shoveling out and disposing of all rebound material before continuing the build.

If you search online for custom pool pricing, you are looking at numbers that aren’t even in the same realm as real life.
Most online resources vastly underestimate the actual cost of a custom pool and spa project. Search engines push outdated, low-ball figures that give people completely unrealistic expectations about what a true custom build takes. The internet simply does not have access to current material costs, labor, or the true scope of custom hardscaping and features.
The only way to get an accurate cost for a custom project is to talk directly with the builders who are out there doing the work every day.

Quality custom builds take time.
From excavation, steel, plumbing, and shotcrete to the detailed hardscaping and final plaster, most custom pool and spa builds take 4 to 6 months.
Complex elevation changes, extensive stone masonry, or retaining walls add steps to the process, but taking the time to coordinate every trade properly ensures your backyard build is done right the first time.

Work smarter, not harder.
When you are moving full bundles of heavy #4 rebar onto a job site, having the right equipment on hand makes all the difference.
Just another day on site getting materials set up for the grid build out.

Honestly, this part never gets old.
Seeing the heavy machinery roll in, the forms go up, and the gravel base get laid down is when it all starts feeling real.
It takes a lot of dirt and hard work to build the foundation, but it is officially the start of another beautiful pool project.
We can’t wait to see the finished pool.

We love seeing these designs come off the screen and into reality.

Most pool companies stick to the bare minimum, using #3 rebar and shooting a thin gunite shell to keep their own costs down.
We choose to go above and beyond. On this project, that meant double-matting with #4 rebar, but on every single build, it means shooting our gunite thick. When homeowners are investing serious money into these backyards, they deserve a structure engineered to give the best protection against cracking, shifting, or settling.
We don’t build to meet the baseline. We build to set the standard everyone else should strive for.
