Stocked private pond with Largemouth, Bluegills, Catfish, & Fathead Minnows. Based off the size of the pond for optimal breeding.

Thanks to the help of a Blue Heron, we were able to figure out how large they’ve gotten!😤

The Catfish was only 1 year old.
The Largemouth was 1 year as well, possibly 2 years. ~15” in length.

The deer feeder is setup automatically to feed 2X a day. Filled with fish food that is thrown directly into the pond.

We actually found Native Crawfish here, despite no previous pond or long-standing water being here. There’s also LOADS of frogs & after 2 years…turtles.

Our duck friends will be back in a couple months…for a bit closer look! 😉

Yessir!

Waited on it to dry out, then went back & dug it out to ~8 feet deep.

Gotta do it while it’s dry. (Would be nice to just make it a 5-10 acre private honey hole!😅)🤘🏼

What started as simply clearing the overgrowth, leveling, grading, & seeding…turned into a bit larger job!

S/O to all the guys I had helping over the course of the project. Couldn’t have done it without ya!

Glad it’s done & completely happy with how it turned out!!

Jason, the owner, told me his wife said, “we’ve had the entire inside of our house renovated, and even some of the outside. Of everything done, this is my favorite part of the house now!”

Needless to say…happy wife, happy life!!
