Futron Aviation leads risk management for several projects at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. One of those projects, the Cloud and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System Flight Model 6 (CERES FM6), is scheduled to launch tomorrow, aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Joint Polar Satellite System-1 (JPSS-1). CERES data allows scientists to validate models that calculate the effects of clouds in driving planetary heating or cooling.
