Hello, all! With these cold temperatures, please take extra precautions to make sure you have water with no interruptions!

Make sure the well cap cover is tight to the ground (extra fiberglass insulation around it will not hurt).

Cover all hose bibs with covers. If you do not have covers, a towel and plastic bag over the towel will work.

Shut off all vents for vented crawlspaces.

At night when the temperature is in the teens and single digits, leave a hot water steady drip from a faucet and turn it off in the morning.

When the water sits in the line long periods of time that becomes a problem.

Note:
If you have a tankless exterior unit this is extra important! Let the hot water run steady drip all night!

Take time to make these preparations. Plumbers will be busy during this time and don’t warranty calls associated with these acts of nature!
