We had a fun project to build for a client of ours. They needed a cauldron for their show, with lights and fog. We said no problem. Except we couldnt just leave it as a black cauldron with a light inside of it. We threw our own spin on this project and it came out awesome.

*The cauldron started as a regular plastic cauldron, we changed that up added a few things and a new paint job. Then instead of a light just in the bottom, we wanted a ring of light so when our fog effect hit it, all the fog will just be glowing green. So we got some LEDs, secured them around the rim and ran wiring for those. Then it came to the fog element, we didnt want a bit hose to be seen coming from the cauldron to a fog machine, we designed a way to fit a rather larger mist maker with a custom splash guard with a built in fan and speed controller (incase you really want the mist to fly high). Of course we needed a way to suspend the cauldron so we built a custom stand that all comes apart for easy storage, also quick assembly. Each leg splits in half, with a custom made mount at the top that simply holds the legs together. Then we added a chain around the bottom tieing each leg together so it cant spread further apart than it should when fully assembled. (Lights and fan are 12v, mister is 24v) so there are 2 cords that do come from the cauldron but we have them inside a black sleeve to be easily hidden. *
