That’s the bigger story here. When a brand as mainstream and globally recognized as IKEA brings Qi2 into the home, wireless charging is no longer something reserved for the tech enthusiast. There literally IS no downside.

Three years ago, these users were already sold on the convenience of wireless charging, even if it meant accepting slower speeds.

A lot has changed since then. With Qi2 bringing magnetic alignment and greater interoperability, and Qi2 25W delivering significantly faster wireless charging, one of the biggest compromises they were willing to make is quickly disappearing.

We can only imagine what their reviews would look like today. 😉

Some things are worth bringing back. A drawer full of incompatible chargers isn't one of them.
