We are expanding our manufacturing team! Hiring for the following position:
Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist
Larke Machine is a family owned CNC shop in Waukesha and has been in business for over 50 years. Our long-term customers are large OEMs, with a majority of our parts being low volume runs. If you like variation in your work day and being challenged in your trade instead of just producing the same part day in and day out, this is the place for you!
We are looking for an experienced CNC lathe programmer/machinist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in turning and must be able to program on Fanuc controls. CAM Software experience is a plus but not required.
Part sizes range from 2” through 20” diameter and up to 80 inches in length for: facing, turning, boring, and threading on products having exacting tolerance and finish requirements per blueprint specifications.
This is a 1st shift position and we offer a flexible start time based on what works best for our team member’s personal schedule.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Read detailed blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, or other specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, type of holding fixtures, and cutting tools to be used.
* Ensure proper documentation of all jobs run.
* Mount chucks, fixtures or other work holding devices.
* Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, offsets or operating sequences as appropriate.
* Use micrometers, vernier, thread gages, bore gages and various other precision measuring equipment to set up, adjust and inspect parts.
* Troubleshoot machine or quality problems.
* Maintain lathe and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
* Complete documentation and paperwork as requested.
Job Type: Full-time; 40 hours per week
Pay: $28-$35 per hour
