Most people see this and think the whole window needs replaced.
Not always.
This is window seal failure. Modern windows are double-pane and sealed with argon gas between the glass to insulate your home. When that seal breaks, moisture gets inside and you get that foggy look between the panes. You can’t wipe it off because it’s trapped inside the glass.
A lot of companies will try to sell you a whole new window.
If the frame is still good, we can often replace just the insulated glass unit.
New glass comes with Low-E coating and argon gas, which reflects heat and improves energy efficiency so the window actually performs the way it was designed to.
Simple fix. Done right.
