Happy Positive Thinking Day!

Charlie Peer, founder of Great Plains Industries, was known for being an optimist.

During some of the toughest years of his career, when business was slow and resources were scarce, Charlie never stopped believing in what could be built. Friends and advisors suggested he move on, but he stayed the course, eventually helping create what would become Great Plains Industries.

His belief in the power of a positive mindset extended beyond business. He filled his shelves with books and motivational cassette tapes from authors like Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill, and Zig Ziglar. Family members remember listening to those tapes over and over, learning lessons about perseverance, attitude, and opportunity.

One of Charlie's favorite quotes was Napoleon Hill's:

"Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve."

Today, we're celebrating the positive outlook that inspired so many and helped turn an idea into a lasting company.
