This is exactly why we always complete a final walkthrough.

As soon as we entered the home, we could smell gas near the furnace. We sprayed a soap based solution over the gas line, which bubbles when air or gas escapes, and discovered a loose connection. The fitting was tightened and tested again to make sure the leak was completely resolved before we left.

This system has a longer refrigerant line because it serves the second story of the home.

During startup, we connected our gauges, checked the system pressures and added the proper amount of refrigerant to compensate for the additional line length. Once the charge was adjusted, we verified that the entire system was operating exactly as it should.
