Job: HVAC Technician
Brantley Heating and Air Conditioning is a local, rapidly growing company that serves Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. We are seeking a qualified, hard-working individual to join our team. Previous HVAC or related field experience is appreciated, but not required. On the job training will be provided.
**Qualifications:**
* Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
* Have your own vehicle and reliable transportation
* Pass Criminal Background Check
* Great attitude and a quick learner
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
* Strong work ethic and problem solving skills
* Ability to lift 50 + lbs and work outside
* Ability to work in hot conditions and tight spaces
o Maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing tasks.
* Ability to multi-task.
**Job Tasks:**
· Mocking up ductwork, insulating boots, attaching boots to flex, and other duct system tasks
· Acting as a “go- fer”. Retrieving tools and materials from the truck/trailer
· Assisting with lifting and moving materials and equipment, sometimes being heavy, sharp, moldy, dirty objects
· Strapping ductwork, drains, and linesets
· Minor wiring and wiring repairs
· Minor non-structural carpentry such as removing access hole framing, cutting holes for ductwork/line-sets/drains, or building a platform for equipment.
· Many more than can be listed reasonably here, but the above gives you an idea of what you can expect right from the start. As your experience and abilities grow, we will incorporate things like, brazing, high voltage wiring, utilizing industry specific equipment, gas piping, and replacing motors, coils, and/or compressors.
Typical work hours M-F: 8-5, with some weekends on-call and possibility for overtime.
**Compensation**: Compensation is based on experience, with room to advance quickly.
