🏠 WHY DOES YOUR ROOFING CONTRACTOR REQUIRE YOU TO PAY YOUR DEDUCTIBLE?

We get this question a lot, especially after a storm.

Here’s the simple answer: your insurance deductible is your responsibility as the homeowner. If your insurance policy requires a deductible, that amount is part of your financial responsibility for the covered claim.

🚩 So what about contractors who say, “We’ll waive your deductible”?

Be careful. A contractor still has to complete the work properly and provide the materials and labor required to restore your home. If someone is offering to waive your deductible, ask how they plan to make up that difference.

Cutting corners, using cheaper materials, or creating questionable paperwork isn't the way to save money on your roof.
