I am starting to wind down Ricksheatandair. Im thinking its time. I have given my all in this business. I’ve transitioned from R-22- R410A and now R-32 R 454B…. 80% furnaces to modulating,2 stage96%
Mini splits…… not to mention all other changes in the HVAC Business.
Im passing all my installs
To Assured Heating and Air Conditioning, a company with great young tech’s and installers. Bruce and his crew are well versed in the HVAC Business.
It’s tough trying to sell a business to someone who will never be me….
Sooooo I THANK ALL OF YOU for staying with Rick’s
I have done business like I do my life….. one step at a time.. Some of you were 1 timers but most continue as friends. I have paid my respects to some who have left this world but continue to take care if their family.

When I ask you to turn the AC off and turn the fan on I’m not punishing you…. I’m trying to save you money. If I have to hang around to thaw it out it will cost couple 3 hours labor…
Thank you for you attention

We’ve been instructed to get all of our customers ready for the new refrigerant, yet you don’t have enough…. I bought a jug of 454 couple months ago…. Now it’s 3 times what I paid. This is total BULLSH*T…I’m embarrassed to be in this business

Good morning my Friends
Lots going on this year.
First off refrigerant 410A has been replaced by a propane based refrigerant called 454B.
There has been extensive research finding there is no risk of explosion due to the fact that the mix is low enough to cause any problems. Although the manufacturer has had to revamp Acoils and furnaces to include sniffers to shut system down in case of a leak.
This has raised the price of the said equipment 25% for Sure Comfort by Rheem…. Due to Rheem has been slowly getting ready for this change. The rest have thrown out 50% or more trying to get into your pocket.
The still have 410A systems in stock and will continue to stock 410A for some time to come of course for more money like they’ve done with R22. Just do your Homework there is plenty on line about this change.
Ok
Spring is here
Change
Filters
Batteries in CO DETECTORS SMOKE DETECTORS.
Thermostats.
My prices went up 10.00 from 90 to 100 for service and cleanups. Sorry
But I will continue to keep up with the changes the best I can.
Thanks and have a great summer

Looks like the roads are still in bad shape. I have no heat calls but they have heaters. I think I’ll let the road crews continue doing their jobs without me crowding their space.
Rock on to those that have spent the last days trying to clear up this mess.

Heads up!!!!
If your in a mobile home or a place that your water freezes easily? Let you faucets trickle so your water doesn’t freeze. Open cabinets so the waterlines get the heat from inside.
Of course change filters, batteries in stats, CO DETECTORS and smoke detectors. If you have the old style Heat Pumps turn you thermostats to emergency heat when temps are below 20…. For those with newer style Heat Pumps when you start noticing a deference in inside temps go to Emergency heat
Be safe and stay warm

oh and change your filters
Batteries in thermostat’s

Thank you for your business
