🇺🇸🚨 Today we want to recognize and thank
Ron DeSantis and the State of Florida for continuing to strengthen protections for working K9s, law enforcement animals, Search & Rescue dogs, and animal welfare across the state. 🇺🇸🐕‍🦺

As an organization dedicated to giving working dogs a second mission through Search & Rescue, these protections matter.

Recent legislation signed and supported in Florida — including HB 559 and SB 1004 — expands animal welfare protections, increases penalties for animal cruelty offenses, strengthens accountability for offenders, and creates additional tools to protect animals from abuse and neglect. The legislation also expands reporting and tracking of convicted animal abusers and increases consequences for crimes involving organized animal fighting and cruelty.

Florida has also continued strengthening penalties for crimes committed against law enforcement and Search & Rescue K9s — recognizing what those of us in the working dog community already know:

These are not “just dogs.”
They are partners.
They are protectors.
They are lifesavers.

From police K9s tracking violent offenders… to Search & Rescue dogs locating missing persons after disasters… these animals willingly run toward danger alongside the handlers who trust them with their lives every single day.

At 10-42 K9, we fully support legislation that protects retired and active working dogs, increases penalties for abuse or attacks against them, and recognizes the critical role they play in public safety and emergency response.

To every K9 handler, trainer, deputy, officer, firefighter, SAR volunteer, and military working dog team — we stand with you.

🐾 “Honoring Their Past. Empowering Their Future.”
— 10-42 K9 Inc.

Big congratulations to our friends over at the Throw Away Dogs Project on another incredible success story. 🇺🇸🐾

K9 Kota’s graduation from the Penn Vet Working Dog Center’s 10-Week Scent Detection Handler Course is exactly why organizations like this matter.

Dogs that others may overlook, misunderstand, or label as “too much” are often the same dogs capable of doing extraordinary things when given the right training, structure, and purpose. Today, Kota stands ready to serve his community alongside the Bristol Township Police Department — and that’s something worth celebrating.

At 10-42 K9, this mission hits close to home. We firmly believe in giving working dogs a second mission and building opportunities for them to continue serving with purpose.

Huge respect to the entire Throw Away Dogs Project team, and everyone involved in helping make this possible. The working dog community is stronger because of efforts like these.

Congratulations K9 Kota & handler — we can’t wait to follow your journey. 🐕‍🦺🚔

Susquehanna AI Inc. Donates Books to Support Children’s Literacy at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Wrightsville, PA – Susquehanna AI Inc., a Wrightsville, Pennsylvania–based artificial intelligence company has made a donation of brand-new books to Penn State Health Children's Hospital in support of the NICU’s annual Read-a-Tho and the hospital’s pediatric patients overall.

The donation reflects Susquehanna AI’s commitment to strengthening communities and supporting initiatives that foster education, growth, and resilience.

Owners Brian Butler and Melinda Butler emphasized the importance of literacy as a cornerstone of childhood development and lifelong opportunity.

“Reading has always been one of my favorite things to do,” said Melinda Butler. “Stories spark imagination, bring comfort, and build a foundation for lifelong learning. We wanted to share that joy with children who need it most.”

“Melinda and I believe that every child deserves the chance to pick up a book, turn the page, and be transported to another place and time where anything is possible. Supporting Penn State Health Children’s Hospital is one small way we can help brighten futures.”

The Butlers’ gift will ensure that NICU patients, as well as children throughout the pediatric hospital, have access to colorful storybooks and sturdy board books that support both healing and hope.

Susquehanna AI Inc. Announces Bid for DARPA’s ML2P Program

Wrightsville, Pennsylvania – Susquehanna AI Inc., a Pennsylvania-based artificial intelligence company focused on mission-critical applications, announced today that it will participate in the upcoming DARPA Mapping Machine Learning to Physics (ML2P) Proposers Day and intends to formally bid on the anticipated program solicitation.

By aligning machine learning performance with power consumption, ML2P seeks to enable the Department of Defense (DoD) to deploy AI at the tactical edge—supporting unmanned systems, field operations, and resource-constrained missions.

“Artificial intelligence has reached a critical point where power efficiency is just as important as accuracy,” said Brian Butler, President & CEO of Susquehanna AI Inc. “DARPA’s ML2P initiative is an opportunity to transform how AI operates in defense and national security contexts. Our team is committed to delivering solutions that maximize both performance and sustainability, ensuring our warfighters have the tools they need without sacrificing mission endurance.”

The company’s flagship innovations, such as CommandHub™ and CreatorPulse™, exemplify its commitment to combining cutting-edge machine learning with practical, mission-focused solutions.
