Why only have 1 closet when you can have 2!
But we have to start from the beginning.. entering the first closet we created a walk through utilizing Harmon hinges in the cabinetry design l. What are Harmon hinges you ask? Easy answer is that these hinges allow the doors to completely open and be received into a pocket the carpenters build in wall. Ultimately giving the look of a cased opening but with the ability to have doors as well.
The first closet is the original closet space. We utilized this for shoes, hats, bags and basically anything non-hanging. And a lucky find was plumbing! Which meant we could add laundry here.
The second closet was the old home office. With its beautiful oak paneling and coffered ceilings we needed to integrate into it without losing all the craftsmanship. Here we have all hanging clothes, additional dressers and bench seating with storage. No longer a catch all room!
