We're hiring a Workshop Assistant to join our team in Kintore 🔧

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in what they do. The role includes painting and preparing equipment, pressure washing, maintaining the workshop and yard, and supporting our workshop teams with day-to-day activities.

Seawork 2026 is almost here! 🌊

From 9th–11th June, the Brimmond team will be at Stand Q16 and ready to connect with customers, partners and industry professionals from across the marine sector.

Whether you're looking to discuss marine cranes, offshore equipment or the latest developments at Brimmond, our team will be on hand throughout the event to help.

As we round off the month that saw Sir David Attenborough celebrate his 100th birthday, we're reflecting on one of Brimmond's most significant projects to date.

In 2024, we secured a five-year contract with the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) to provide crane servicing and engineering support onboard the RRS Sir David Attenborough, one of the world's most advanced polar research vessels.

Our relationship with the vessel began in 2022, and for the past several years our team has supported its marine cranes and wider hydraulic systems, helping to ensure it remains ready to support world-leading scientific research in some of the planet's most challenging environments.

We're incredibly proud to play a small part in a vessel that contributes so much to our understanding of the natural world and the polar regions that Sir David has spent a lifetime helping us appreciate.

We recently completed the manufacture and integration of a 1.8MW seawater jetting spread, engineered to support demanding offshore installation activities with reliable high-capacity pumping and safe handling systems.

System scope included:
▪️ 2 × 660kW electric multistage seawater pumps
▪️ 2 × 250kW submersible multistage seawater lift pumps
▪️ 2 × umbilical reelers complete with 45kW hydraulic power units
▪️ Launch and Recovery System (LARS)
▪️ Valve skid and filter skid
▪️ All housed within DNV certified frames

Designed, assembled and tested at our facility, with a focus on integration, reliability and safe offshore operation.

Brimmond’s rental fleet includes 6TE pneumatic spoolers ready to support upcoming projects.

Designed for both onshore and offshore operations, they’re well suited to:
• Wire rope spooling
• BOP MUX cable spooling
• Hydraulic umbilical spooling
• Crane wire change-outs

Our pneumatic spoolers offer a practical, reliable solution where a compact, air-powered unit is preferred, these spoolers have interchangeable shaft profiles and have been uniquely built to allow the unit to have adjustable back tension capabilities

Playing a small part in helping local teams, we’ve recently:

• Teaching kids lifesaving skills including CPR for Aberdeen Surf Life Saving Club
