Next week, our Technical Sales Manager Paul Dingwall returns to SMM Hamburg, one of the world's leading events supporting the global maritime industry.

We support the marine sector with marine crane sales and hire, engineering, HPUs, onsite servicing and full refurbishments.

We've expanded our crane offering! 🙌

Through our new partnership with Amco Veba, our aquaculture and marine customers now have access to an even wider range of fully foldable knuckle boom cranes.

Paul Dingwall, Technical Sales Manager – Marine Cranes at Brimmond said, “This partnership allows us to offer customers a wider range of fully foldable knuckle boom marine cranes while maintaining the engineering support they expect from Brimmond. Developed for an offshore renewables project, this purpose-built HPU supports multiple hydraulic functions, including the deployment, retrieval and operation of specialist equipment, ensuring reliable performance throughout installation operations.

We're hiring! 🔧

As demand continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Hydraulic or Mechanical Technician to join the Brimmond team.

Based primarily in our Kintore workshop, this hands-on role also offers opportunities to work on customer sites across the UK, offshore and internationally.

You'll be involved in a varied range of projects, including:
• Assembling new-build equipment
• Mobilising and demobilising rental equipment
• Spooling hydraulic hose
• Servicing and maintaining Brimmond equipment

We recently completed the manufacture of a 220kW Electric Hydraulic Power Unit (EHPU), built to meet demanding offshore performance requirements.

Designed and assembled in house, the unit delivers high-pressure hydraulic power with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and structural integrity.

Key specifications:

2 × 110kW electric motors
200cc axial piston pumps
Maximum working pressure: 350 bar
Maximum flow: 280 lpm
From fabrication through to assembly and testing, our workshop and engineering teams ensured the package was delivered to the highest standards of quality and reliability for hazardous area operations.
