Immediate Opening for Lead Carpenter/Carpenter

Local builder with 30 years’ experience is hiring for an immediate opening for a Skilled Hands-On, Working Lead Carpenter to help manage job sites and subcontractors on custom, spec, and remodel projects, with minimum to no supervision.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter/Carpenter to join our team and drive excellence in residential construction projects. This role offers an opportunity to lead carpentry crews, interpret detailed construction plans, and deliver high-quality craftsmanship on a variety of remodeling, restoration, and new build projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing precise carpentry work, supervising site activities, and ensuring safety standards are met. Your expertise will help us create beautiful, functional spaces that exceed client expectations and uphold our reputation for quality craftsmanship.

Knowledge and experience of all phases of construction required.

Hands-on carpentry skills required.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Compensation is above industry pay for qualified candidates, plus production bonuses!

We offer year-round work with a constant pipeline of projects.

Work is located in Augusta Co., Staunton, Waynesboro, Rockbridge Co. and surrounding areas.

Salary range $20-$35/hour, dependent on skills and knowledge.

Carpenter’s Helper—position available immediately. This is an entry-level position, offering on-the-job training.

Carpenter’s Helper will assist with framing, tool handling, job site cleanup, etc., with opportunities to advance into skilled carpentry roles for individuals with a willingness to learn. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, along with small hand tools—all other tools and equipment are provided.
