This Elizabeth Bay apartment was ready for a fresh start.

We worked through the home, updating the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, study, living areas, and flooring, with a big focus on making everything feel more connected and considered as a whole.

Rather than changing the character of the apartment, the goal was to refine and elevate the spaces through better flow, quality finishes, and thoughtful detailing that would make everyday living feel easier and more enjoyable.

The finished result feels lighter, cleaner, and far more in tune with modern living, while still feeling warm and lived-in.

The front of a home sets the tone before you even step inside, and we wanted it to feel calm, structured and welcoming all at once

So, we kept it simple and let the proportions do the work. The clean lines, soft tones and solid forms give it a quiet presence from the street, without needing anything overly decorative. The entry is slightly recessed, giving it a bit of depth and making it feel more private as you approach.

What really brings it together is the balance between the built form and the landscape. The tree, the hedges, the way everything frames the path... It all helps soften the architecture and makes the home feel lived in from the outside.

This Concord kitchen was designed and built to feel effortless.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but what you notice first is how calm it feels. The light tones, the clean detailing, and the way the mirror reflects both the interior and the greenery outside all help open the space up.

It’s a kitchen that changes slightly throughout the day. In the morning, it feels fresh and bright, and by the afternoon, it softens as the light shifts through the sheer curtains.

The island naturally becomes the centre of everything, somewhere to sit, prep, talk, or just pause for a moment. It’s not trying too hard, and that’s exactly why it works.

A space that feels simple on the surface, but has been carefully thought through in every part of it.

This attic had good bones; it just needed a new purpose. Now, it’s somewhere you can properly switch off.

We transformed it into a cinema room, and a big part of that was making it feel calm and comfortable, not just visually but acoustically too. The carpet plays a big role here, softening the space and helping with sound so everything feels quieter, more contained, and easy to settle into.

The window is probably one of the best parts. Its shape follows the pitch of the roof, which gives the room a slightly different feel compared to the rest of the house.

It’s a space that works in a really simple way: somewhere comfortable to sit, watch something, and relax.

There’s a lot of work in this space that you don’t immediately notice, but you’d definitely feel it if it weren’t there.

The table is a good example. The timber has been shaped and finished in a way that keeps its natural texture, rather than flattening it out. You get those subtle variations in tone and grain, which give it a bit of depth. The marble insert adds another layer without taking away from that.

Then there’s everything else holding the space together: the flooring, the baseboards, the way each element meets the next. It’s all been built and installed with care so the transitions feel clean and consistent.

As the cooler weather starts to settle in, this living space really comes into its own. It stays bright and open during the day, but as the light softens and the evenings get a little cooler, it naturally shifts into a more cosy, relaxed atmosphere. The mix of soft furnishings, warm materials and natural light was all carefully considered to make the space feel comfortable and easy to live in. It’s the kind of room that feels just as good for a quiet night in as it does for having people over.
