Potential Public Listing.

Hi Everyone,

Some exciting news to report, we have a potential route to a public listing in the USA via another much larger company which is planning to list this year. Now there’s no guarantee that this will be completed but our initial investigations of the route to achieve this look very feasible.

The reason for announcing this now before it is confirmed is that we have two current investment opportunities open which close at the end of April, one for our US operation Active Safety System Technologies Inc. which is very likely to be involved in the listing, and another for current ABBS shareholders in the UK.

The eVTOL and cargo drone market is now at last becoming active and we have both specific enquiries for our technology and potentially three Innovate UK R&D grant projects which would require some internal funding. Hence new funds are required for the full development of the eVTOL/aircraft products we are planning.

We also await the result of a $5m R&D bid in the USA which would involve the US Army testing our blast protection systems if the bid is accepted.

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has been tracking worldwide incidence of TBI in service men and women since 2000; over this period, DoD recorded 444,328 cases of TBI to August 2021, with a further 9,158 subsequent cases recorded in the first half of 2022.

Service members and Veterans are also at risk of brain injury from explosions experienced during combat or training exercises. Even mild TBI cases can lead to serious long-term effects on thinking ability, memory, mood, and focus, along with physical symptoms. While most people with mild TBI have symptoms that resolve within hours, days, or weeks, a minority may experience persistent symptoms that last for several months or longer.

ABBS is working to identify the causes of TBI in armored vehicles and offer a range of systems which can help to mitigate against those causes.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

We are aware from GVSC and the Pentagon, that TBI can be the result of an underbelly blast in even heavily armoured vehicles which are not penetrated.

Whilst there is a current programme to explore what drugs could be given to personnel going out in armoured vehicles (and taken after a blast) to try to minimise the risk, this seems the wrong way around of tackling this.

My Company, Active Safety System Technologies Inc has just started a bid for funding to investigate the actual causes of the TBI and how our existing blast protection technologies can help to mitigate those causes.

Oddly, a lot of armoured vehicle manufacturers (and even army personnel) seem unaware of this as an issue - even though there are various US patents which reference it going back 10+ years!

Does anyone have any experience of this? You would think the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs would have some experience....

Feedback from Pentagon RRTO TIDE Event

Attending this Discovery event in Washington resulted from the RRTO enquiry we received well over a year ago now. This event, much delayed by Covid from November last year was an invitation-only, exhibition-style event where we had a stand on which we promoted the ABBS armoured vehicle solutions, the AVCP eVTOL safety system technologies including the new Fusion Avionics vision/AI concepts, and ASST itself as the new marketing operating in the US and Canada.

We also had our US partners for eVTOL products, Aviation Safety Resources on the stand next to ours as we were able to get them in because they supply the parachute systems. We are developing rocket motors to launch their parachutes and it is expected that these will be incorporated in their systems for sale in Europe.

The main result from the day was that I got the Director of the Pentagon RRTO on the stand to show him what we do, so we now have a good relationship there, and he later supported our application to enter a key grant funding process in the USA.

Next week promises to be busy as we head to the US to exhibit our protection to the Pentagon, the US Army and other companies based near Detroit. We are one of the few companies to have been specifically targetted by the Pentagon to provide more details on our mine-blast and eVTOL systems and appear at the invitation only technology discovery event this month.

At the same time, we have launched our round on WeFunder to help further develop our systems into fully fledged production ready products.
