7th and 8th graders wrapped up the semester with a quick egg drop competition

All of our STEM classes got to dissect and get hands on lessons with some body systems. 6th grade dissected sheep eyeballs and 7th/8th grade dissected frogs.

Discovery Center came out Tuesday to meet with some 6th graders who built successful egg drop devices earlier this semester.

Bonham’s Science Bowl National Team just wrapped up an incredible five days in Washington, D.C., competing as one of the top 100 teams in the nation.They had the opportunity to take a private tour of the National Air and Space Museum, and spent Friday exploring the National Mall. They visited memorials, monuments, and several Smithsonian Institution museums.
Most importantly, they represented the Texas Panhandle with pride, building friendships and connections with teams from across the country. They’re now on their way home after an unforgettable experience that they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Shoutout to Kason Simms for creating the standout bridge this semester! It handled every bit of sand we tested it with while remaining impressively light. It nearly doubled the performance of the next closest design. Incredible job!

Students put their engineering skills to the test by researching, designing, and building toothpick bridges. Each bridge was evaluated based on how much sand it could hold while maintaining the lowest possible weight. It challenged them to find the perfect balance between strength and efficiency.

Bonham MS students have had a big year, with a regional science bowl win in January and a robotics title in April. Now, they're heading to nationals. See link below ⬇️

Bonham did it!!! The Science Olympiad team goal was to place in the top 10 at state competition. They placed 9th overall!!! 10 events placed in the top 10. They got 2nd in Rocket Science, 2nd in Picture This, 4th is Mission Possible, and 4th in Rocks and Minerals, and 5th in boomilever. Hard work pays off and this team proved it.
