India is giving AI startups processing power for just $0.7/hour. AWS charges $3.7. Azure charges $6.6.

That’s not a typo.

Indian government is subsidizing processors so hard that startups are building AI models that beat China’s.

They deployed 38,000 processors in just one year. Built 12 homegrown AI teams. And invented a copyright system for AI training nobody else has tried.

The catch: India is spending 40x less than the US and China. But according to Stanford’s AI Vibrancy Index, they’ve already jumped from 7th place (2023) to 3rd globally (2025).
