SEDC Energy (SEDCE) Chairman Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr.) Abdul Aziz bin Husain hosted the SEDC Energy Invitational Golf 2025 held at Damai Golf & Country Club on Sunday.

SEDCE, the new energy commercial arm of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) held its inaugural Invitational Golf 2025 event to bring together business partners and stakeholders from government agencies including other organisations across Malaysia, an avenue to strengthen partnerships.

Also present at the event include SEDC General Manager Datu Haji Hadi bin Datuk Haji Kadir and SEDCE Chief Executive Officer Robert Hardin and other senior leadership.

PETROS Multifuel Station (MFS) Batu Kawa became the centre for the IEM Engineer’s Run 2025, themed “Engineering Green Legacies”. This year’s event gathered a total of 1,750 runners participating across the 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM categories.

According to The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Sarawak Branch, the run aims to inspire greater awareness on sustainable engineering practices while highlighting Sarawak’s transition towards decarbonisation and future-ready energy solutions.

MFS Batu Kawa, operated by SEDC Energy (SEDCE), was selected as the venue for the event as it represents Sarawak’s continuous commitment to innovation, green mobility, and the acceleration towards energy transition.

For 2025, SEDC Energy is proud to support the event as the Silver Sponsor and venue partner, contributing to the success of a meaningful and community-driven programme within the engineering fraternity.

The run was officially flagged off by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Prof. Dr Sim Kui Hian, in the presence of SEDCE CEO Robert Hardin and the organising committee led by IEM Sarawak Branch Chairwoman Ir. Dr. Angelina Lieu San Chuin.
