Fantastic results from a Solarize the Triangle project!

Pullen Memorial Baptist Church went solar through the Solarize the Triangle program. Yes Solar NC installed a 22 kW system using 50 CertainTeed panels and 1 CPS inverter.

The church shared a blog about the first anniversary of having solar and said, “The panels produced 88,560 kWh of electricity, which was 6.7% more energy than expected! This reduced our electric bill by $5,844!

2023 was an amazing year for Solarize the Triangle! We've had a tremendous impact as a community. We want to congratulate Yes Solar NC, Central Pines Regional Council, and all of the cities who participated in the campaign. We especially want to thank all of the businesses and homeowners who took this opportunity to grow our resilience as a community by adding solar and battery storage to their properties.

Thank you to Council member Steve Rao inspiring articles for the accolades for Solarize the Triangle.
"Over the course of 2 campaigns, so far they have signed 291 contracts for solar installation, which represents almost $488,000 in yearly avoided energy costs, $9.75M in new clean energy development, and over 5 million pounds of carbon dioxide avoided yearly. They have also used their collaboration to kick-start a grant program to put solar PV systems on the roofs of low-to-moderate income homeowners."

Solar energy is helping local mushroom farmer Fox Farm & Forage LLC lower their energy costs to provide sustainable produce for the region. Apparently, "Mushrooms, make a lot of heat." 🍄🔥 And, their operations were facing huge energy bills to run the HVAC needed to keep the mushrooms nice and cool. 😎

Bull City Commons Cohousing is an urban community in Durham that aims to lead a lifestyle based on mutual support and shared resources. The award-winning building architecture has a design with an eye for sustainability and a small carbon footprint. Solar added to this building only enhanced that mission.

As part of Solarize the Triangle, Yes Solar NC installed a 30.8 kW system to the system includes 70 CertainTeed panels and 3 SolarEdge inverters at a group-purchase price. The solar system has an estimated yearly production of 39,241 kWh.

Members of the Bull City Commons Cohousing aim to lead a lifestyle based on mutual support and shared resources. This award-winning architecture was designed with an eye for sustainability and a small carbon footprint. Adding solar to this building only enhanced that mission.
