NYS Capital Region Science Olympiad

It was a busy tournament this year, but we really enjoyed running it and hope the competitors had fun - we will work hard to make next year’s tournament even better.

🏆 Congratulations to the following teams for advancing to the 2020 New York State tournaments:
Division C - Columbia High School (Team A), Bethlehem Central High School (Team A), and Ballston Spa High School.
Division B - Howard L Goff Middle School (Team A), and Hudson Valley Consortium.

🎖 And an additional congratulations to the following teams for earning the Small School Award:
Division C, Voorheesville High School (Gold).
Division B, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Middle School.

⚠️ Are you 18 or older? Are you interested in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math)? Do you need volunteering hours?
If so then consider helping us out at the Capital Region Science Olympiad tournament! We are looking for responsible adults to proctor and/or grade events - these events range from written exams to testing devices built by students, and cover 26 different STEM topics. 🔭 🦠 🔬 🧫 ⚗️ 🧪 🧠 🧬

“New York State Science Olympiad (NYSSO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to engage and challenge students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through various levels of team-based competitive tournaments throughout New York State.”
Students start at the regional level, and can advance to the state and national tournaments!
