📚 Design thinking is unique creative problem-solving mindset and approach that we use to improve the 👩‍🏫educational experiences of and teach them how to think about the 🌍 world in new and different ways than they are used to.

At , we use design and critical thinking equip students with the resilience, understanding and adaptability that is needed to thrive in such a fast-paced environment. Students are taught to embrace change, reflect on their decisions, develop an innovative mindset and continuously improve their problem-solving skills.

We are surrounded 🟢by technology 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬 and the products of science every day. Public policy decisions that affect every aspect of our lives are based in 🔬scientific evidence. And, of course, the immensely complex natural world that surrounds us illustrates infinite scientific concepts.

As students 👨‍🎓grow up in an increasingly technologically and scientifically advanced world, they need to be scientifically literate to succeed 💯

At STEMi Makers of Africa, teaching the scientific ⚗️ method to students is teaching them how to think, learn, solve problems and make informed decisions. These skills are integral to every aspect of a student’s education and life, from school to career 🕴️👩‍💼

Our program offers a rich context for developing many 🧑‍💻 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, and information literacy especially when instruction addresses the nature of and promotes use of science practices 🧬🧑‍🔬.

In nations 🌍grappling with socio-economic challenges, the question of empowering women 👭👩‍🦳 economically becomes even more pressing.
Among the most vulnerable are young girls 👧 who lack formal academic 📚 qualifications or vocational skills 💼. In many instances, these young women find themselves in precarious situations, exposed to exploitation and abuse.

Last year, we commenced a framework 👷particularly aimed at young people and endowed them with vocational capabilities. Recognizing the urgent need to equip young people with vocational skills in tailoring and aimed at transforming their prospects for sustainable employment.

This year, the project has the potential to reshape community dynamics, bolster ethical labour practices, and offer a blueprint for broader 📊 economic sustainability ☘️as we commence to empower 120 young men and women in tailoring, carpentry and shoemaking.

STEMi Ambassador Program in Ghana 🇬🇭 begins on Monday, the 4th of March 2024 as we promote STEM learning across secondary schools in Accra, Kumasi, Koforidua, Tamale, Cape Coast, Bolgatanga, Ho, Takoradi of Ghana.

⚽️ Our goal is to empower schools and students through STEM learning, set-up of STEM clubs to demonstrate science experiments 🔬, application of technology👩‍🔬, classroom learning outcomes 🎯and collaborative learning styles.

We share our passion and excitement for the STEM fields with local middle and high school students 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓🧑‍🎓and hope to display the opportunities of growth and knowledge in order to spark students/ educators curiosity 👩‍🏫.
