Part-23 Update:
Already a year overdue, the FAA has finalized the Part 23 rewrite and we expect it to be signed into law later this year. Under the new rules, MotoPOD LLC expects more opportunities to bring new ideas into the world of certified aircraft.
Back in 2013, we were embarking on some challenging certification projects when Congress passed the Small Airplane Revitalization Act, which required the FAA to revise the certification requirements for small airplanes. At that time, we decided to postpone certification efforts and to focus on special mission projects and other areas of the business. Now that the Part 23 rewrite is finalized, we’re busy evaluating how to best resume our certification efforts under the new rules. Stay tuned for more updates on this later in the year.
