Who is connecting the design decisions to the construction work? In a design-build project, the planning and building work are coordinated as one process. That gives the team a way to discuss how a design choice affects what will be built while decisions are still being made.

Core offers design-build services for commercial projects. If you have an idea for a new space and are not sure where to begin, call 402-403-3602.

The space looks finished. Why is the crew still there? Near the end of a commercial project, a final walkthrough may identify details that need to be completed or corrected. Those items go on a punch list so they can be addressed before the work is closed out.

It is one of the less photographed parts of construction, but it matters to the people who will use the space every day.

Can your business stay open during a remodel? That depends on what has to keep working.

Think about where customers enter, how employees move through the space, when deliveries arrive, and which areas cannot be interrupted. Those details need to be part of the construction conversation early.

If you’re considering improvements to a space your business still uses, call Core at 402-403-3602.

You do not need a finished set of plans to start talking about a commercial project.

Bring the address or space you are considering, what your business needs to do there, and any date you are working toward. Even a list of must-haves and open questions gives the conversation somewhere useful to begin.

Thinking about a build-out or renovation around Omaha? Call Core at 402-403-3602.

These walls start as lines on a plan.

Metal stud framing turns that layout into the rooms, corridors, and openings people will eventually use. It is one of the moments when you can begin to understand the shape of a commercial space before the drywall goes up.

Swipe through for a look at the framing stage. What part of a project would you like to see next?

Before deciding where the walls should go, follow a normal day through the space.

Where does a customer enter? Where does an employee need to go next? What needs to be close together, and what needs a little separation? Those answers make a floor plan more useful than a drawing that simply fits everything in.

If you are planning a new commercial location, bring those everyday details to Core early. Call 402-403-3602.

An empty commercial suite does not become a workable business just because the walls are painted.

A tenant finish can mean rethinking the layout, building rooms, coordinating the trades, and making the space fit the way the business will operate. The details depend on what is already there and what the new tenant needs.

If you are looking at a space and wondering what it would take to make it yours, Core can walk through it with you. Call 402-403-3602.
