This innocent Rohingya child was reportedly kidnapped in a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. The victim was Rohingya, and according to reports, the perpetrators were also from the same community. This heartbreaking tragedy should be a wake-up call for everyone.
No child deserves to suffer such a fate. No parent should have to live through the pain of losing a son or daughter to kidnapping and violence. Crimes against children must never be tolerated, regardless of who commits them.
The people living in the refugee camps must stand together against criminal activities, kidnapping, violence, and the exploitation of innocent families. If communities do not confront these problems, more children and families may become victims in the future.
Today it was this child. Tomorrow it could be another child, another son, or another daughter. Protecting children must be the highest priority for every community.
Those who seek a better future for their people must also work to eliminate crime, protect innocent lives, and strengthen their communities from within. Justice must be served, and those responsible for this crime must be held fully accountable.
