“In Memory of Nurul Amin Shah Alam — Demand for Truth and Justice”

A 56-year-old Rohingya refugee, Nurul Amin Shah Alam, nearly blind and unable to speak English, has been found dead — just days after his release from custody.
According to reports, Shah Alam had previously been arrested after mistakenly entering a residential yard while holding a curtain rod, reportedly used as a walking aid. During that incident, officers deployed a Taser and he was detained.
After his release, federal agents allegedly left him near a closed commercial location, miles away from his home, without confirmed coordination with his family. Days later, his body was discovered in downtown Buffalo.
Authorities say an investigation is ongoing. Early statements indicate no immediate signs of homicide. However, serious questions remain:
Why was a visually impaired, non-English-speaking refugee left alone in an unfamiliar area?
Was proper care and responsibility exercised?
Were adequate safeguards in place to ensure his safety?
This case raises broader concerns about the treatment of vulnerable refugees and the duty of care owed to individuals in government custody.
His family is demanding answers. Community leaders are calling for transparency. Civil rights advocates are urging a full and independent investigation.
At the heart of this story is not politics — but humanity.
How a nation treats its most vulnerable speaks volumes about its values.
We will continue to follow this developing story.
Justice. Accountability. Transparency.
That is what his family — and the public — deserve.

“As Australians, we respect our country, our institutions, and our police. However, we also have the right to ask questions.
When a foreign leader is formally welcomed and honoured in Australia, and images circulate showing past associations with highly controversial individuals who faced serious criminal allegations, it is reasonable for the public to reflect.
At the same time, seeing a foreign national flag displayed alongside the Australian flag on a NSW Police uniform raises further questions about context and protocol. What is the official purpose of this display?
This is not about attacking any community. It is about accountability, transparency, and ensuring that those who receive public honour align with the values of justice, integrity, and

Assalamu Alaikum,
First of all, I sincerely congratulate you on your election and on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Bangladesh. I wish you wisdom, strength, and success in leading your nation.
I am writing this message in good faith as an Australian citizen of Burmese origin, currently residing in Australia. My intention is humanitarian, not political.
The Rohingya people continue to face displacement and hardship, and their situation remains a matter of international humanitarian concern. Many of us remember past diplomatic efforts and commitments aimed at ensuring justice, safety, and dignified repatriation.
With deep respect, I humbly express hope that under your leadership, Bangladesh will continue constructive engagement and lawful international cooperation to help secure a safe, voluntary, and dignified solution for the Rohingya people.
Once again, congratulations on your leadership.
Respectfully,

I welcome the decision for an independent investigation and respect the process of accountability.
I also respect our police and our government — they are part of our country and our institutions.
At the same time, as a citizen, I believe it is reasonable to ask: what circumstances led to the events of that day, and how were those decisions authorised?
Transparency strengthens public trust in a democratic society.
