Here's another fine example of the extremely poor quality one can expect from the majority of A/C contractors out there. This was found on a real estate inspection in Mandeville's upscale neighborhood of Beau Chene... The seller was asking over $500k for this pile. BUYER BEWARE... BTW: your typical home inspection does not include a thorough inspection of the A/C system.

Just a few pics of the typical quality one can expect in todays new construction homes. This home was built in December of last year. As you can clearly see the A/C contractor did a very poor job on this installation. Your a/c in your attic should not look like this. When it comes to installing the most important system in your new home, demand the best, DEMAND!

Replaced this pitiful Air Handler only after about 2 years of service due one of the worst installations we have ever seen. We install a gas furnace and cased coil in its place. WOW!!! its amazing what a few professionals, that care about their work can do in a day...

You would be absolutely amazed at how many technicians I talk to that have never even heard of a micron gauge, much less use one when installing or servicing a system.
