Renaissance Secondary School in Musina has officially opened its new state of the art science laboratory, a milestone made possible through a partnership between Venetia Mine and the Young Diamantaires.

What began in 2019 as a shared vision to improve STEM education has now become a modern, fully equipped space for Grade 10–12 learners to explore science through hands on experiments.

This project is more than new infrastructure, it’s an investment in future scientists, engineers and innovators, and a powerful step forward for education and opportunity in the Musina community.

A huge congratulations to our Venetia Mine team for receiving the Significant Achievement Award at the 2025 MineSafe Conference and Industry Awards Day!

The Significant Achievement Award is a key category within the annual MineSafe Industry Awards, recognising organisations that have made outstanding contributions to health, safety, and sustainability in the mining industry.

It’s been an exceptional safety year at Venetia Mine, and this milestone reflects the hard work, discipline, and dedication of our people underground and on surface.

Well done, team. You continue to raise the bar for safe, responsible mining.

Our team is at the 5th Annual Limpopo Investment Conference, where leaders from across business, government, and communities have come together under the theme “Limpopo Rising: Africa’s New Investment Frontier.”

It’s an inspiring platform to share how Venetia Mine continues to invest in the province, from developing one of the world’s most advanced underground mines to supporting local entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and building skills for the future.

A special thank you to the beneficiaries of our Enterprise & Supplier Development Programme for helping us tell the story of the good that diamonds do: Martin Masipa (Director, Lehlowedi Pty Ltd), Pfuluwani Dafrey Tshilande (Director, Hope Diamond Transport), and Selinah Ntjana (Director, Selinah the Goat Agri Pty Ltd). Your passion and success remind us what sustainable mining can achieve when communities and business grow together.

Limpopo truly is rising, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. 💎

Palesa – nurturing the growth of small local businesses

Venetia mine, through Worley’s CSI contribution and in partnership with Trioplus, have launched the Palesa Funding Programme, an initiative dedicated to supporting small local businesses.

In August, 11 entrepreneurs from the community were selected to present their businesses to a joint panel. Through Palesa, these entrepreneurs will receive grant funding for equipment, tools, and infrastructure, helping them take their businesses to the next level.

By investing in local talent, Palesa is not just helping individuals achieve their dreams, it’s creating jobs, building a stronger local economy, and inspiring a ripple effect of growth and opportunity.

As Palesa takes root, it stands as a testament to Venetia mine’s commitment to positive, lasting impact. Venetia mine is proud to be part of a programme that truly makes a difference. Here’s to growing together.

Meet Samuel Sebaiwa: Growing Skills, Growing Community

Samuel Sebaiwa, a 28-year-old from Inveraan village in Limpopo, is proof that passion and opportunity can change lives. Thanks to the Venetia mine and AGDA two-year learnership programme, Samuel’s love for farming has blossomed into a powerful force for good in his community.

Before joining the programme, Samuel volunteered at the Inveraan Youth and Community Foundation, teaching basic farming skills to local schoolchildren. But he wanted to do more; so he applied for the learnership, eager to gain new knowledge and make an even bigger impact.

The online format of the programme was a perfect fit, allowing Samuel to balance his studies with his volunteer work. He’s learned about modern farming techniques like hydroponics and mulching and now feels more confident than ever as an agricultural educator.

“My passion for farming was always there, but I didn’t have the knowledge. Now I’m much more confident and in a position to teach others,” Samuel says.

Samuel’s journey shows how the Venetia mine and AGDA learnership is empowering individuals to uplift their communities, one skill, one lesson, and one harvest at a time.

We’re so proud of Samuel and all the local changemakers making a difference.
