Dassault Aviation closed fiscal year 2025 with an increase in military aircraft deliveries

The French manufacturer delivered a total of 26 Rafale fighter jets during 2025, exceeding the initial forecast of 25 units. Of these deliveries, 15 were to export customers and 11 to France.

This figure represents an increase compared to 2024, when 21 Rafales were delivered, 14 to the French Armed Forces and seven to international customers.

Regarding orders registered during the fiscal year, Dassault Aviation recorded 26 new Rafale export orders in 2025, a figure lower than the 30 aircraft of this type ordered in 2024.

India Takes Another Step Toward Finalizing Purchase of 114 New Rafale Fighter Jets by 2026

The Indian Ministry of Defense has announced that it has granted the Acceptance of Need (AoN) necessary to proceed with the acquisition of a fleet of 114 new Dassault Rafale fighter jets from France.

The Indian government will have to invest a significant amount, reflecting the importance of the program for the Air Force and the substantial business opportunity for Dassault.

According to previous reports, this would allow the Air Force to acquire between 12 and 18 aircraft ready to fly in an initial phase to facilitate and expedite the fleet's integration, while the remaining aircraft would be manufactured by local industry under the "Made in India" policy.

Dassault has also made progress in constructing a maintenance center for the M-88 engines that power the Rafale in India, specifically in the Hyderabad region.

This demonstrates the company's intention to strengthen ties with New Delhi and various local industrial partners. The facility could support the maintenance of the 36 Rafales already ordered by the Air Force and the 26 ordered by the Navy.

Vietnam Considers Purchasing Dassault Rafale

After decades of using Sukhoi aircraft, the Vietnamese Air Force is advancing in talks with Dassault to incorporate the Rafale, bolstering its attack and surveillance capabilities.

Recent reports from European media indicate that negotiations between Hanoi and Paris have progressed to a critical point, including direct technical evaluations by Vietnamese military personnel.

According to Air Data News, the interest in the Rafale arises in the context of the obsolescence of the current Vietnamese Air Force (VPAF) fleet, composed mainly of Soviet and Russian-made aircraft for which the country has had difficulty obtaining spare parts.

The Rafale offers advanced electronic warfare and precision strike capabilities, key elements for deterrence in disputed maritime zones. Furthermore, this potential acquisition would place Vietnam on technological parity with other regional operators, such as Indonesia, which has already finalized the purchase of 42 units of the same model.

Hanoi has already taken the first steps toward standardization with Western equipment following the recent delivery of Beechcraft T-6C Texan II turboprop trainers, transferred by the United States.

Although discussions are at an advanced stage—including test flights conducted by Vietnamese pilots—integrating a French platform presents a logistical challenge for an air force built under the doctrine of the Eastern Bloc. Vietnam will need to invest in new logistics centers and technical training programs to maintain the fighters' operational readiness in the long term.

» Francia ordena 42 nuevos Dassault Rafale F4
