At a very young age I was fascinated by nature and science. My love of nature has been passed down to me by my father. My passion has grown and deepened.

I began working for my father’s company, Serpe Tree Service at the age of fifteen. Climbing came naturally to me as did the concept of pruning a tree from the inside looking out. I found 'trees' and everything about them to be awesome - how they grew, adapted and survived; what caused them to decline and fail; how they could be helped along by human intervention and how nature took care of them in

the untouched forest. I became a licensed arborist in New York State in 1984 and in Connecticut in 2002. My education continued through memberships in the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), New York State Arborists (NYSA), the Tree Care Industry of America (TCIA) and the Connecticut Tree Protective Association (CTPA). In order to maintain these memberships accredited continuing education is required. In 1998, I became part owner of Serpe Tree and Landscaping, Inc. My interests have come to include shrubs, perennials and annuals. If I did not become a 'tree man' I would have become an entomologist - insects are fascinating! My intention for Serpe Tee and Landscaping, Inc. is to give our clients a simple, honest and thorough experience. I treat my client's properties as if they were my own. I often tell my clients 'what would I do if this were my property?'
