At PACK EXPO International, our Director of Product Management, Jay Taylor, took the Innovation Stage to discuss how next-generation inkjet technology is changing the approach to primary package marking.

His presentation highlighted Matthews Axian® XIJ, a technology that combines key advantages of continuous inkjet (CIJ) and thermal inkjet (TIJ) to address common production challenges, including maintenance requirements, fluid consumption, downtime and overall operating costs.

Jay also shared early customer feedback and real-world application insights, demonstrating how Axian XIJ is helping manufacturers improve coding reliability and efficiency across a variety of primary packaging applications.
