Tomorrow Jordan Heaton will be attending the North West Aerospace Alliance ESG event ait Airbus in Broughton on the behalf of ATH NDT.

The whole event is centred around the decarbonisation of the aerospace industry with ATH being given a great opportunity to speak about our own company journey towards "Net Zero".

If you are attending the event we can't wait to see you there and talk to you more about the advancements that we have made on our own penetrant lines to reduce our carbon footprint.

Today we are putting the finishing touches to a presentation that Jordan Heaton will be giving at the Northwest Aerospace Alliance ESG event at Airbus in Broughton on Thursday 19th October talking about the flightpath to decarbonising aerospace.

ATH have made great strides in the decarbonisation of our penetrant lines through various energy saving measures.

We were really pleased to see our latest write up featured on the website for North West Aerospace Alliance in the September issue of Express news.

This article goes a long way to highlighting the expansion that we have experienced in this year and a small glimpse in to the future of the company and the industry as a whole.

The North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) was formed in 1994 to represent and support the Aerospace Industry across the North West of England. NWAA represents approximately 25% of the UK aerospace industry with over 220 member companies and a combined turnover in excess of £7 Billion.

Following our recent thermal imaging survey carried out on our new NDT line to showcase how much of a difference our energy efficient upgrades make to our systems.

The survey clearly shows that on average the external surface of the oven is only 0.9 degrees higher than the ambient temperature of the facility with a small quantity of localised zones 4 degrees higher than ambient.

This is despite the operating being ran continuously for several hours prior to the survey being conducted.

This shows how an ATH penetrant line not only increases the factory throughput but has a reduced running costs and reduced carbon emissions making the process greener.

We will be sharing more data shortly in a full carbon emissions study highlighting the while energy profile of our new penetrant systems.

A busy day today for the level 3 services team.

One making final preparations for a customers pre NADCAP checklists being submitted and another carrying out examinations for hardness and conductivity testing.

All whilst our third level level 3 is back at base looking after things for Craven NDT .

Are you struggling to get all your parts through in a shift, or just wanting to reduce the amount of hours it takes to get through the available work?

Our new penetrant line design allows for large batches of components to be ran in a single run.

This image show 120 parts each 100mm x 46mm all being processed in one batch.

Not only does this reduce the amount of time taken but it also reduces carbon emissions by only having the penetrant line running for approximately one hour to process the whole batch.
