Mark your calendars for some of the most beautiful full moons of 2026 🌕✨

May 1 – The Full Flower Moon 🌸
This moon gets its name from the blooming flowers of spring. It’s a symbol of growth, renewal, and new beginnings.

May 31 – The Full Blue Moon 🔵
A rare event that happens when two full moons occur in the same month. It doesn’t actually appear blue, but it’s still a special sight you don’t want to miss.

June 30 – The Full Strawberry Moon 🍓
Named after the strawberry harvest season, this moon represents abundance and the start of summer vibes.

You can enjoy all of these full moons with your naked eyes—no telescope needed. Just step outside after sunset and look up at the sky 🌌

🌌 Upcoming Sky Events to Watch in 2026 ✨

📅 March 20 — March Equinox
⏰ 14:45 UTC
The Sun will shine directly over Earth’s equator, bringing nearly equal day and night across the world. This marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

🌕 April 2 — Full Moon (Pink Moon)
⏰ 02:13 UTC
The Moon will be fully illuminated as it sits opposite the Sun. Traditionally called the Pink Moon, named after the early spring flower wild ground phlox. It’s also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, Growing Moon, Egg Moon, and Fish Moon.

☄️ April 22–23 — Lyrids Meteor Shower Peak
🌠 Peak Night: April 22–23
The Lyrids Meteor Shower can produce around 20 meteors per hour at its peak. These meteors come from dust left behind by Comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher and can leave bright trails lasting several seconds.

🌑 August 12 — Total Solar Eclipse
A spectacular Total Solar Eclipse will occur as the Moon completely blocks the Sun, revealing the Sun’s glowing corona.
🌍 Path of Totality: Arctic Ocean → Greenland → Iceland → Atlantic Ocean → Spain.
A partial eclipse will also be visible in Alaska, Canada, the northern United States, and western Africa.

On the nights of November 17th and 18th, the Leonids meteor shower will paint the sky with dozens, even hundreds of bright shooting stars . Trails of orange, yellow, and white light will streak across the heavens, creating one of the most magical celestial shows of the year .

For the best experience, step away from city lights, lie back under the stars and let the night sky amaze you. Whether you’re a stargazer, photographer, or just someone who loves nature’s wonders, this is a perfect opportunity to witness the universe in motion . Don’t forget to make a wish on a shooting star! 😱😱
