The countdown is officially on - we’re one month away from touching down at the World Aviation Festival to showcase Hello Airport, our in-terminal Digital Team Member 👏

From October 13th - 15th, come visit Stand 2-185C at the FIL Exhibition Centre to see how Digital Team Members streamline operations, supporting every passenger at any touchpoint, all hours of the day ⏰

Have you spotted these yellow signs along our coastline?

Whether you're taking a dip or enjoying a stroll along the promenade, these interactive signs make it easy to check seawater quality and share what you're seeing in real time.

They’ve been installed in partnership with the Environment Agency and Hello Lamp Post. You'll find them at Worthing Beach House, Worthing Beach and Goring Beach – the town's three designated bathing water sites.

Since they were installed in March, they've been used more than 400 times, helping to build a clearer picture of our coastline alongside the Environment Agency's weekly water quality monitoring between May and September.

Simply scan the QR code or text the number on the sign to:

❓ Ask questions about water quality
🦀 Share your observations, including sea conditions, wildlife and beach debris

Hello Lamp Post is currently available at only a small number of bathing water sites across the country, and we're pleased to bring it to Worthing as part of our work to make coastal information more accessible. The project has been funded by the Environment Agency.

We're committed to cleaner coastal waters for residents, visitors and wildlife, and we're continuing to work closely with the Environment Agency while pressing Southern Water to deliver the improvements our coastline deserves.

When extreme weather strikes - airport operations quickly feel the impact. In early-January, Storm Goretti swept across the UK, leading to airport closures and flight suspensions 🌧️

For staff at BBirmingham Airport Storm Goretti created a 500% increase in incoming passenger queries 💬

What could’ve turned into an endless cycle of staff handling frustrated travellers was diverted with the support of our Digital Team Members, deflecting common queries from their customer service desks 🤝

We’ve dived into the stats to explore how Digital Team Members play a central role in easing pressure on busy teams, not just during storms, but all-year round.

We're excited to share our latest launch with Worthing Borough Council and the Environment Agency - turning locals into citizen scientists in the fight to improve bathing water quality 👏

You can find our signs along Goring Beach, Worthing Beach and Worthing Beach House! 👋

Worthing’s coastline is becoming interactive 🌊

We have partnered with the Environment Agency and Hello Lamp Post to launch a digital tool that will help people access real-time updates on bathing water quality.

By scanning QR codes along Goring Beach, Worthing Beach and Worthing Beach House, visitors can ask questions, get the latest pollution updates and share what they’re seeing – from sea conditions to wildlife.

Hello Lamp Post is a community engagement platform that uses artificial intelligence to communicate and consult with residents. It’s currently available at only a select number of bathing waters across the county and has been introduced to Worthing as part of a multi-partner effort to make information about the town’s bathing sites more accessible.

Worthing was nominated for the platform by the Environment Agency, which has been closely working with teams from the council and Southern Water to tackle sources of pollution impacting the town’s designated bathing waters.

While action is ongoing to improve water quality along the town's coastline, we’re actively focusing on empowering residents and visitors with additional guidance to help inform them of real time water quality.

Hello Lamp Post has been introduced to help bridge that gap, providing an accessible and engaging way for people to find information and share what they are seeing when visiting our three designated bathing water sites.

The interactive experience is free to use and now available by Goring Beach, Worthing Beach and Worthing Beach House.
