I’m sure by now you’ve seen the Winter Forecast from the Farmers Almanac.
You see here Kentucky is between “cold and snowy periods” and “cool, wet, and stormy”. If this were to verify, we would be in the “battle zone”.
El Niño winters historically give better chances of above average snowfall in our region. This “Super El Niño” could pan out much of the same.
Keep in mind, El Niño has great influence on the pattern but whether or not we see plenty of cold and snow depends on individual systems, and tracks of these systems and other influences such as a -NAO, -AO, etc.
