Black and Pink is a national prison abolition organization made up of 13 chapters and over 20,000 former and currenty incarcerated LGBTQIAS2+ people formed in 2005. With a focus on highlighting intersectionally oppressed voices, they aim to end the mass incarceration that has plagued the LGBTQ+ population and people living with HIV/AIDS. Black and Pink provides bail funds for protesters as well as covid-19 relief resources, in addition to funding youth groups and conducting field research to continue the grassroots mission of dismantling the criminal punishment system.
