Following the installation of the Fenris jacket in 2024 and the Valhall PWP, Hugin‑A and Munin jackets in 2025, Sleipnir has now completed the installation of the Hugin‑B jacket.

The Hugin-B Jacket, weighing around 4,500 metric tons and standing 146 meters tall, was carefully towed from Verdal, moored against Sleipnir, lifted, upended and carefully set down on the seabed. Installation was completed by pile driving, grouting and completion activities.

A true heavy lift operation from start to finish, executed step-by-step thanks to strong teamwork offshore and onshore. 👷

Great work by everyone involved! And with Sleipnir not finished yet in the Yggdrasil field, there’s more to come: four topsides and two flares are still scheduled for installation.

The Sleipnir crew has successfully completed the installation of the Hornsea 3 Link 1 Jacket and the Offshore Converter Station (OCS1).

These lifts showcased safe, efficient, and precise ex*****on under typical North Sea conditions, supported by strong coordination across project management, engineering, and marine operations. Our project teams in Houston and Leiden, together with the crews of Sleipnir, Bylgia, Kolga, Island Champion, and Boulder, delivered exceptional performance throughout the operation.

With Link 1 now in place, we’re looking forward to installing the Offshore Converter Station 2 (OCS2) later this year, reinforcing our commitment to supporting Aibel and Ørsted in delivering large‑scale offshore renewable energy infrastructure.

The steel structure, nearly 5,000 mT, is now securely fixed to the seabed with 10 piles, preparing the site for the topside float over later this year.

This campaign was delivered through close cooperation, with all activities planned and executed in line with stringent German offshore regulations, including strict underwater noise limits during piling and specific grouting requirements.

This installation marks a key step toward completing the BorWin6 grid connection, helping bring more offshore wind power into the German energy system.

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗰𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗳’𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 🛠️
At the Calandkanaal in Rotterdam, our Thialf crew and partners are hard at work on one of the most extensive lifetime extension programs in her history.

And this is only the beginning, the work will continue after the offshore season, including a dedicated drydock period to give her a fresh and shiny look again. ✨

This program touches nearly every part of the vessel, from steel and structure to critical systems, safety infrastructure, and living spaces, ensuring she remains ready for the next generation of offshore challenges.

Over the coming months, our teams will continue working on:
• Replacing and renewing hull steel
• Upgrading electrical systems and replacing the main switchboards for modern ones
• Renewing sewage and firefighting systems
• Refreshing accommodation areas and the hospital
• Preparing thrusters, cranes, and DP systems for many more years of reliable offshore performance

Meanwhile, Thialf is also gearing up for a busy summer, with mobilization kicking off next month. 🌊

A massive effort. A true team achievement. And a strong example of how we continue to make the impossible possible offshore. 💪

𝗛𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝘂𝘀! ⛷️
On Wednesday, more than 60 colleagues from our Leiden & London office, our fleet and Heerema Engineering Solutions set off to the beautiful Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region for a four-day ski trip, organized by and for colleagues. From beginners discovering their love for skiing to experienced skiers carving down the slopes of Masnerkopf (2.820 m), there was something for everyone.

The mix of colleagues from different departments was a perfect example of how strong connections and friendships are built beyond day-to-day work. 💪

No ski trip would be complete without our annual group photo, a theme night (Dynamic Duos) and a memorable cheese fondue and toboggan evening. 🛷📷

Thank you Wens Business Events b.v. for making the arrangements for our group and a big thanks to this year's participants for their enthusiasm. We are already curious where the mountains will take us next year 👀

𝗛𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮’𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗦𝗦 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌊

After a scenic passage through the heart of Rotterdam, the Jasmund offshore substation (OSS) successfully reached the Baltic Sea. Our dedicated offshore crew and project teams completed the installation of the more than 4,000 metric ton jacket and the nearly equally heavy topside on December 19. The reliable performance of Thialf and her crew in harsh winter conditions played a key role in delivering the project safely and on schedule.

All in all, an excellent winter performance by Thialf 👏

With a capacity of 300 megawatts, the Jasmund OSS is a key link in connecting the Windanker wind farm to the German mainland via the Ostwind 3 grid connection. 🔌

This achievement would not have been possible without the close cooperation with our client, the HSI Consortium (, , ), and their end client 50Hertz.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all that we’ve achieved this year! ✨

We've successfully executed 31 campaigns globally, strengthened partnerships, drove innovation, commissioned new equipment, deployed it offshore for the first time, and set new benchmarks.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible teams across our global offices and offshore locations, nor without the continued trust of our clients and partners. Thank you all.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re energized, focused, and ready to go even further. Let's continue to push boundaries and make the impossible possible offshore together. 💪

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝘁! 🔥 We’ve officially started building our newest float-over barge, the H-731, as Klaas Heerema performed the First-Steel-Cut at the CIMC SOE yard today.

This 220-meter barge is purpose-built for the TenneT 2GW program and will help install large offshore substations in the North Sea starting in 2027, supporting Dutch and German energy transition and strengthening offshore grid infrastructure.

The engineering team paid special attention to optimizing sailing behavior, which will lead to much lower fuel consumption during towing, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. 🌊

Together with CIMC SOE and TenneT Germany, we’re building the infrastructure for renewable energy. 👷

𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺? Challenge accepted! Heerema engineers from various disciplines worked together to design the Conductor Down-End frame. Once the design was approved, fabrication the began at Heerema Fabrication Group.

These innovative conductor frames are designed to be:
🦺 Safe: each conductor section is individually supported to prevent buckling or breaking
♻️ Modular: batches of 12 stored in interchangeable cradles, easily adapted to different conductor diameters
🏗️ Efficient: down-ending performed 12-at-a-time instead of one-by-one
🚧 Onshore-ready: enabling safe, streamlined set-down and processing at the decommissioning yard
Smaller sections, safe removal, big impact!
