A great start to RSA Conference 2026 for our CEO, Gautam Dev , meeting David Gee today.

His recent article, “5 Key Priorities for Your RSAC 2026 Agenda,” highlights how AI is no longer limited to a single track at RSAC, but now woven across almost every session this year.

The focus clearly shifts to how security leaders balance rapid AI adoption with the risks that come with it, from securing AI infrastructure and building governance frameworks to managing non-human identities and shadow AI.

A really good read and one we’d definitely recommend.

Threat actors are getting smarter about how they reach macOS users. Instead of relying on obvious phishing emails, they are hiding malware behind trusted platforms like Claude AI, Medium articles, and even Google sponsored search results.

A simple search can lead to a convincing guide that asks users to paste a terminal command, quietly installing an information stealer like MacSync. In moments, credentials, browser data, and even crypto wallets can be exposed.

Organizations need to respond with both awareness and stronger technical oversight.

- Remind users never to run terminal commands from unknown or unverified sources
- Treat sponsored search results with the same caution as any unfamiliar link
- Verify support content that claims to represent trusted vendors
- Monitor command-line activity and unusual outbound network connections in real time

Malware will continue to find new ways to enter. Organizations need active, always-on protection that detects anomalies early, stops threats in their tracks, and responds in real time. Continuous monitoring and rapid response help ensure that even if an attacker gains a foothold, the threat does not escalate into a full-scale breach.

In the past, organizations mainly managed employees, IT admins, and occasional contractors on servers, desktops, and firewalls.

Threats were mostly malware, phishing, and insider issues, and security teams relied on manual checks and periodic scans.

Today, the environment is much broader and more complex.

Employees work remotely or in hybrid setups, contractors and vendors connect from multiple locations, customers interact digitally, and new players like APIs, IoT devices, and AI agents constantly interact with organizational systems.

Assets now include cloud workloads, SaaS apps, containers, mobile devices, endpoints, and hybrid infrastructure. Threats have become more sophisticated, from ransomware and account takeovers to AI-driven attacks and supply chain risks.

Protecting this landscape requires continuous monitoring, dynamic discovery, and AI-assisted detection for full visibility.

The combination of TDIR and CTEM delivers not just responsive defense, but proactive security, powered by AI-driven analytics, intelligent threat management, and real-time insights.

Ransomware doesn’t begin with a ransom note. It begins quietly, often weeks or even months earlier.

A phishing email, stolen credentials, a misconfigured system, or a compromised endpoint is usually the first step in the ransomware kill chain. From there, attackers move laterally, escalate privileges, disable defenses, and exfiltrate data long before encryption and extortion ever occur. By the time the ransom demand appears, the real damage is already done.

This is why ransomware defense cannot rely on point-in-time alerts or siloed tools. Organizations need an all-pervasive security platform that continuously correlates signals across identities, endpoints, cloud, and networks to detect early anomalies, behavioral deviations, and hidden attack paths.

Stopping ransomware means breaking the chain early, before disruption turns into crisis.

Protecting your business with legacy security be like hiding an elephant behind a pole.

In 2026, many organizations no longer have a clear view of how far their environment has spread at any given point in time. Cloud, SaaS, APIs, AI workloads, and machine identities change continuously, expanding the attack surface faster than it can be documented or reviewed.

Legacy security assumes everything important is already known, mapped, and under control. That assumption no longer holds.Static inventories, perimeter-focused tools, and periodic assessments cannot keep pace with environments that evolve by the minute.

Security teams are left dealing with:

- Limited real-time visibility
- Identity and access sprawl
- Alerts without context or correlation
- Controls built for infrastructure that no longer exists

Legacy security does not make this easier. It creates the illusion of coverage.

But, attackers do see the elephant in the room. They exploit what defenders cannot clearly see.

What is needed now is security that is flexible and scalable, providing continuous visibility, meaningful control, and real-time protection wherever risk enters the business, through any door, path, or gateway.

Because modern attacks do not respect boundaries, and security must evolve to meet that reality.

Recent reports link the BlackCat cybercrime group to SEO poisoning campaigns, where fake software websites are pushed to the top of search results to distribute malware and steal sensitive data.

SEO poisoning exploits user trust in search engines, making malicious pages appear legitimate and highly ranked, even though they deliver backdoored downloads or hidden malware. It is a reminder that even everyday actions like searching for software can become attack paths.

How to stay vigilant:

- Download software only from official vendor websites
- Double-check URLs for subtle misspellings or unusual domains
- Be cautious of highly polished download pages
- Avoid clicking unfamiliar or redirected links
- Treat search engine results as untrusted by default

Regardless of how malware enters the environment, organizations need security that functions like an Iron Dome, intercepting threats early and protecting the business on an ongoing basis.
