Thank you to the City of Toledo for including OAIMA in their "Engineering and Construction Management Training Week" program. We presented a session on "Factors Impacting Asphalt and Concrete Aggregate Availability". It is always valuable speaking with engineers and others in the field to identify challenges and opportunities to ensure local, quality aggregate availability.

I had the honor of speaking at the ODOT District 6 & County Engineers meeting recently to talk about aggregate resource availability. We appreciate the ongoing dialogue with our partners at the state and local level as we continue to provide quality, locally available, construction aggregates.
A special thank you to ODOT District 6 Deputy Director Toni Turowski (pictured left) and Madison Co. Engineer, Bryan Dhume (right) for hosting this eight county quarterly meeting.

The Aggregate Industry is well-represented at ASTM C09 and D04 Committee week in Atlanta.
Participation in ASTM is a great way to ensure that the industry has a seat at the table when it comes to technical and specification changes that can impact OAIMA members and all aggregate producers.

The 2025 OAIMA Annual Meeting included the 4th annual Emerging Leaders Program Reunion. We are so proud of this amazing program and look forward to many more reunions in future years. What a wonderful group of amazing people!

OAIMA Emerging Leaders Visit the Ohio Statehouse.

During session four of the 2025 Emerging Leaders Program, participants had the opportunity to learn about how laws are made and how important it is to engage with and educate our lawmakers. During this three-day session they visited the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and witnessed a Senate and House of Representatives voting session. Melissa Hoeffel (CHW Advisors) spoke about how an idea can become a bill and possibly a law and Senate Committee Chairman Tim Schaffer shared his thoughts on leadership and communication.

The OAIMA Emerging Leaders program is designed to educate and equip our future leaders with the tools they need to succeed, lead and thrive.

he “Ohio Aglime Council” is hosting an informational booth at the 2025 Farm Science Review.

The theme this year is “Where Mining and Agriculture Meet”.

Aglime (also known as Agricultural Lime) , produced by crushing Limestone, is the natural way to balance soil pH which enhances fertilizer efficiency and minimizes run-off.

Remember, “If It Can’t be Grown, It has To Be Mined”

One of the pillars of the OAIMA Emerging Leaders Program is "Industry Awareness". We believe that being better leaders and stewards of the industry is built through learning from the experts in their field. OAIMA members support this program by allowing our Leadership Groups to tour their sites and learn from these experts. OAIMA members are proud of what they do and are always excited to share their knowledge and experiences with others. Session 3 of the 2025 Emerging Leaders Program focused on "Communication Excellence," the "Five Pillars of Leadership" and the importance of networking and engagement to become an effective leader. Day 1 concluded with some friendly teambuilding competitions, dinner and networking. We have another wonderful group of Emerging Leaders this year!

The 14th Annual Ohio Aglime Council Sporting Clay shoot is in the books.
Thank you to all who attended to raise funds for the OAIMA/OMMEP/Ohio Aglime Council Scholarship program. $10,000 will be available for deserving students during the 25-26 school year. Thank you to LJ Inc., VibraTech, Olen Corp., GTA Associates and Stedman Machinery for their sponsorships as well.

Day 2 of the OAIMA Emerging Leaders Experience featured a fascinating tour of the Belden Brick operations in Sugarcreek, Ohio. This tour allowed participants a glimpse of the industrial minerals industry and offered a unique perspective of the "IM" part of "OAIMA".
Stone Products and Beaver Excavating was our next stop. Participants learned about leadership skills needed in a family owned environment as well as the equipment and services provided by Stone Products.
